There is a prediction that record students are going to apply online for All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) 2012 this year. Till now, more than 1 lakh students have already been applied while more than 10 days still remains to be applied.
Last year, only 5000 students were applied online for AIEEE-2011 while it was expected more than one lakh online applications. Now, this time, the application number can move up to more than 2 lakh.
Students willing to participate in AIEEE-2012 can apply online only. The application process has already started from 15-November-2011.
It is well-known that AIEEE is organized every year for NITs, IEET, Deemed Universities and technical institutions across India and for more than 26000 seats of B.Tech & more than 900 seats for B.Arch & B-Planning of DTU (Delhi Technical University).

AIEEE-2012 Offline Exam Date: On 29-April-2012
Last Date to Apply Online: 31-December-2011
Apart from that, as per AIEEE rankings, universities of West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand and Punjab, engineering colleges of Chandigarh & Punjab and Netaji Subhas Institute of DU (Delhi University) seats have been filled.
AIEEE Exam is of two types, Online and Offline. Last year, only B.Tech and B.E. was organized online. But this year, B.Arch and B-Planning will also be organized online. In B.E. and B.Tech, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics related objective-type questions are asked while in B.Arch and B-Planning, Mathematics and Engineering Drawing related questions are asked.
